Hello! My name is Philippa Ancla, and I am a multi-disciplined artist, currently focusing on dressmaking and poetry.
As a dressmaker, I bring the whimsical and hyper-feminine ideas in my head to life. I thrift my materials as much as possible and love to commemorate my clothing and costumes on my Instagram.
As a poet, in one breath I pursue joy and delight – in the next, I make sharp, powerful commentary on the world we live in. I use fantasy metaphors and allegories to explore our reality, standing on the shoulders of fairytales, mythology and folklore.
